Trust

  • In the Classroom - Lesson 15

Lesson:

Trust is necessary for everything. Without trust, nothing happens.

  • Think about an extreme situation when someone is lacking trust. Some people who lack trust can’t leave their homes. Some can’t even get out of bed. They have forgotten to practice the feeling of trust. All relationships need trust to function. Think about how difficult it would be to come to an agreement with someone you don’t trust. Can you picture people deciding where to go for lunch? If someone wants to go for pizza, but someone else, who they don’t trust, also suggests pizza, well then, maybe pizza isn’t such a good idea after all. The other person may have something up their sleeve, and that’s why they suggested pizza. When we don’t trust we have to second-guess, over-analyze, and be wary of everything. That is very stressful and hard on our bodies. And we can’t think clearly when we are too worried about what we fear might happen. When we don’t trust, we are more focused on our fantasies and fears than we are on the reality of what’s going on around us. No wonder when someone is preoccupied that something “bad” will happen, they are usually right. Right? Conversely, when we feel trust, we expect for things to go smoothly. And then usually they do!

  • Trust is necessary for health. The feeling of trust is actually the feeling of health.
