Paying Attention

 

  • This is a great exercise to do when you are upset. It will help clear the mind and give you perspective and freedom.

 

Exercise:

 

  • This is a walking meditation. So to do it, just walk.

  • Do it for as long as you want or as need to have a shift in perspective.

  • Start with slow walking. Breathe in as you lift you foot. Then they breathe out as you lower it.

  • Walk silently and very slowly, Pay attention to what it’s like to walk.

  • Shift to faster walking. Notice how different that is.

  • Walk in a circle around a room or out doors. Make sure there is nothing you have to navigate.

  • You will get bored. That is good. Keep doing while you are bored for a few minutes and see what changes.
